There are combinations for which no solutions. Maybe you want to fix it?
I made a version where all scrambles are solvable.
if you make it 6 x 5 it is always solvable, but if you make it 5 x 5 then there are 4 different identity patterns.
I find the method of solving shown here: http://www.ueda.info.waseda.ac.jp/~n-kato/lightsout/index.html to be very interesting.

TOO HARD! the Tiger game is easier because the levels are premade so people actually have solved it to create the level and it is feasible to do and not too daunting.

My brother had like an electronic version of this game when I was like five. I spent ages trying to figure it out. I never did...
when you click a button, that button and the four on all sides of it (not including diagonals) change being on or off. (i.e. on -> off and vice versa)

(view all replies)it's a solving code that shows you a solution for something. In this case, 1,25,17 = click on the first square, then the 25th square, and then the 17th square.

I was gonna make a game like this called squae puzzles, but it would be a bit better, and more complicated
Instead of having a bunch of brodcasts and sorting out which ones are next to a certain block, you could make it so a tiny invisible dot goes to the block you clicked, and then visits all the adjacent blocks. Then you just need to make it so that the blocks change costumes when they touch that dot. Currently your corner squares have 4 scripts, the edge ones have 5 scripts, and the middle ones have 6 scripts. For this way, they all would only have 2 scripts, with some for the invisible dot.
oops i mean this way they would have 3 scripts

wow this is such a simple idea that makes a really addictive (and fun and hard) game, maybe to improve it you could make a mode to turn all the lights on, and you could have different size boards

get all the lights but one in the middle to be on, and there is a simple way to get them all off.

I just figured out why: Not every puzzle you present is solvable.
this is just unbitable!...its always one light or two!.. or three
3 is solvable
