abs - I don't know what it stands for (if anything) but it is the value of a number, no matter if it is positive or negative. For example the abs of -5 is 5. And the abs of 7 is 7. It is really simple. When you add more terrain sprites, remember to change the amount 460 is multiplied by. So terrain0 would be 460x0, terrain1 - 460x1, terrain2 - 460x2, terrain3 -460x3.....etc.
