I'm not sure. I've got a lot of big projects I'm developing, but it would be pretty interesting. If you need any specific help, ask me, and if I get around to working full time on it, I'll let you know.
Oh . . . you're right. I suggest we have a corner of the screen dedicated to the information about the character, and the background of that corner would be a solid color (fixing the problem).
The HP should be green when you start and when you level up it keeps getting bluer (meaning you get more hp) and then as your hp goes down from being attacked, it'll turn back to light green, yellow and eventually orange and red meaning you're about to die.
No, I decided to do it the hard (but professional) way. The bar actually calculates where it should be based on the variables, and sets its position there. That way, if you set the variables to some random number, the bar will still follow.
Yeah, I had difficulty with the colors and wasn't sure quite what to do, so I stuck with the basics. Right now the bars just change from green, to yellow, and to red (but it only works when you download it).
I would, but notice how the health points and magic points change color and fade as they get lower. I'm pretty proud of that addition, and I would have to eliminate it to do as you suggested.

These might work! The only problem is that the "hide" sprites wouldn't work with the backgrounds we're using.

Yeah, that's kind of what it is, but it is not so direct. You can download the project and look at it if you'd like.

(view all replies)I think you should change the colors, HP=Red MP=Blue XP=Green
About the color thing, I think you have to download it for it to work.
