Open up Scratch. Make a script that starts with a 'when i receive scratch-startclicked' block. You will notice that it works exactly like a 'when green flag clicked' block. However, this does not work online, and this project takes advantage of that to detect if you are viewing the project online or offline.
Possibly the world's simplest online/offline detector. It takes advantage of the broadcast glitch (see my project (link to project) ) to determin if you are playing online or not. You do not need to download this, because all the scripts are shown.
