O.O AMAZING! this is one project that actually deserves the front page! great work! im glad i saw this! i love anything to do with celts. cos i am 40% origin scottish-celt.
Okay, I have exactly three words to say about this programming: THIS IS FANTASTIC! It's one of the projects with the best programming I've ever even seen! Let me see if I can persuade Spenfen2(Lanternlight159) to give this project a ribbon. It deserves one!
Download the 9 sprites and 28 scripts of "celtic 3x3" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Random celtic knot generator. Click the green flag to restart.
This puzzle is an example of the constraints satisfaction problem. Each sprite (process) controls one square and checks LOCAL constraint "do I fit?". Stage - the master process - only wakes all sprites from time to time. To find exactly one loop (one knot) the GLOBAL constraint is needed but this project does not check it. It is not a bug, it is a feature ;)
