i'm all for the if 'i recieve ___' block. but, like the others said, i think that the 'z postition block would be tougher for younger scratchers to understand. same with the scrolling.
Planet X I like your thinking! But with 3-D stuff your going into 7 to 9 grade stuff. You ready for that??? Seriously. Just practise with Scratch because it was ment for Kids who like to create things and get a start to Programming. You can't expect to make a FPS on Scratch or a 3-D platformer because that's things that ACTUAL programmers make. But the Rest of the blocks are great. You don't know how much these things would help.
it is the inside i guess or through the object, its for 3d objects (scratch is 2d so thats why theres only X and Y) if you want to get into 3d go here: http://www.blender.org

z is the size because remember 3d is 3 dimensional and x is side to side, y is up and down and z is size!
