I like the Bonus and Lose features! Adds more interest to the game. Next, you may want to work on how your project starts up...I tried restarting it by clicking on the Green Flag but it doesn't work (online anyway). You may have to add in some Wait blocks so that loops that are checking for things (like the game over condition) don't start looking before the variables are set up.
How about a fancier name? Most people that have been on Scratch for any length of time see "Pong" and run away screaming :) because so many people make Pong variants.
Another suggestion: Additional interest items like targets that appear for a few seconds that you can try and hit with your ball. They might give increase your score (another reason to use your own timer variable) or give you additional life.
Suggestions: Make your own variable and use it as a timer by putting it in a Forever loop with a Wait 1 block to cause it to increment every second. You have better control over your own variable (you can round it to the nearest whole number, make it hide, stop it whan you want and so on. If you want to get fancy, you can go to a stamped number display and make it look really cool.
Made it to level 4! I've seen an aweful lot of pong games...to the point where I often can't bear to look at another one. But you've done a good job here of making it interesting, with the sounds and the colors and the jumpy ball. Good work!
Controls are the same as the sample one, but this has lots more fun, like levels etc. Hit the bonus (small "b") for 1-1000 points. You also get 100 points each time the ball toutches the paddle. If you hit the lose you will lose 50 points
