Download the one sprite and one script of "A Million Stars" and open it in Scratch Project Notes
This is an adaptation of a project by Mr Shah called "Random Dots."
I added a variable to keep count, so you can see how many stars have been painted so far. It should stop when the counter equals 1,000,000 (one million).

Following Dialga's calculation, it should take just under 7 hours. A million is a BIG number! Natalie I have added a comment about how I created the swirls. :)

I've created another project called, "Bacteria", that is similar to "A Million Stars", and uses more sprites at the same time. I think the result looks like moss.

I am very pleased that you found inspiration from my work. Your version is so much better. I like the movement of the dots and the way the colours change. The stars counter shows just how large a million really is. :)
I'm guessing roughly this program will take less than 1 day to reach 1,000,000.
Have you ever seen the picture book called "How Much is a Million?" (by David M. Schwartz). It says if you wanted to count from one to a million, it would take you about 23 days.
