To create the animated mouths, I flip between two costumes. One costume is the full photogrph, with mouth closed. To create the other costume (with mouth open), I put the photo into the paint editor, grabbed a rectangle around the lower part of the mouth, and moved that rectangle down. I needed to fill in the open space in the mouth with something. Someone else probably could have done a better job filling in the mouth. To understand it better, download the project and look at the costumes.
You went to LEGO Land CA, Mres? I did too! It was amazing for the first time! Is that how you teamed Scratch up with LEGO images? I still don't know how to get one, Mres! HELP!!!!

This is very nice. Why do grey rectangles appear in the mouths when the two heads say "Happy Birthday Rhonda"?
