Do you know if Scratch 2.0 will give you a chance to hide scripts? It would be useful to gamers who post each level in a different project and use codes. That way people won't cheat.
We haven't thought about allowing people to hide scripts. In general, we want all scripts to be visible, so that people can learn from other people's scripts. But I understand why you'd want to hide codes in games. Perhaps there is some other way to do that. We'll think about it. Thanks for raising this issue.

(view all replies)I updated a project that I previously embedded on a webpage.The project on SCratch changed,but it stayed the same on the website.How come?
Did you use embed code from project page? When you update a project (and use the same name), the same embed code should show the updated project.
When 2.0 is released,will we still be able to upload 1.4 projects?
We hope and expect that 1.4 projects will still run in Scratch 2.0, but there are still many, many issues to be worked out....

http://www.fileswap.com/share/538a8fef91a12880c7fd554858ff3bc3/Scratch.image.html for an edited version of Scratch.image.Someone found out how to make a block by editing stuff in the Squeak browser,and only two hacks worked:The "point to X: Y:" block and a "Hidden" block with a watcher.Speaking of building blocks,will we EVER be able to upload BYOB projects!??!?!I hope it does....Anyway,I don't understand BYOB 3 as well because BYOB 2's way of making blocks is less complex.
and the made up blocks don't work online.FROWNINESS LOL.
