No - I just used a simple, free image-capture program to grab 3 images of the programs demonstrated. I added a clipart character and then some text in the Scratch editor. Behind everything is a screenshot of the standard XP desktop. There's nothing fancy here. I was more interested in creating some good examples of sounds for anyone who clicked on each of the screenshots of the software. I also wanted to show what those programs looked like when they were being used.
Download "maestro"(4 sprites and 6 scripts) and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Here is my choice of the best software available for EASILY making your own music or sound effects. You can find out where to download them if you look in the forum.
HAMMERHEAD - a fantastic FREE drum loop maker with LOADS of drumkits and loops to download. Very easy to use and you can export your creations as wavefiles.
SAWCUTTER - This is Sawcutter2 which is shareware, but Sawcutter 1 is free and is ideal for learning on. It is amazing for creating up to 4 tracks of multi-layered music using your own 'blocks, that you DRAW. The example you can hear only use two layers but several blocks per layer. Once you understand it - it is AMAZING.
SIMSYNTH - A wonderful FREE program for creating your own sound effects. Listen to some examples.
