Mini chess game :
King+Rook versus King
Press the green flag
You begin with white

for the first (but not the last ) chess engine on Scratch.

This is a mini chess game.
- You play white, the computer plays black.
- To move, click on a piece. All possible moves will be highlighted, and clicking on a highlighted square will move the piece to it.
- After you move, "Thinking..." will appear at the top of the screen. The white line above that indicates the progress of the AI engine.
- The checkmate and stalemate detection work.

Two questions:
The first question is : How many minimal move for win ? Send me your record.
The second : How many move for a stalemate ? Send me your record.

J’ai gagné, (ce qui n’est pas habituel), avec 8 coups, mais le roi noir m'a aidé beaucoup quand il a pris refuge dans le coin. Presque la fin, la tour a passé à l’avant-plan et son image a couvert les deux rois. Je ne connais pas le projet de Midecah ... mais j’avais déjà vu le du Mayhem. La faute en toutes est qu’ils me semble trop lents ...
Je suis d'accord.Je ne crois pas que Scratch soit fait pour ce type de projet. Mais il est cependant amusant. C'est un remix, le moteur de Midecah a beaucoup de défauts : en mode turbo on peut le constater (il est pratiquement impossible de jouer en ligne).Je pense que ce projet a été choisi pour montrer la diversité des projets possibles avec Scratch :)

an amazing and awful idea with the thinking; its good because it makes the game more like a simulation. but a bad idea because it takes foreever

Some of the moves are illegal in chess like the king jumped over four squares in one move.

This is a good idea... a nice minigame. Sometimes the best games are he small ones; this one can actually finish.
why does the black king cheat? and when i tried to commit suicide the possible move square was in a stupid position!

Yes,this 's a simple remix.The engine is not very good.I make a mini game for fun.

The point is that it only has those pieces. If you want to play a proper game of chess then look at bthe project this was remixed off
