This is only #D, not 4d, not 5d. 3d- y axis-up & down, x axis-left&right, z axis-forward & backward. 4d- time. 5D- dimensional barriers
This is a 2D image of a 3D object so the project is 3D. There are actually 10 dimension (11 if you include string theory). 1: x 2: y 3: z 4: time 5-11: really complicated quantum physic stuff.
(view all replies)NO NO NO! Time is no longer classified as one of the D's. This it the 3D shadow of a 4D object. (Like our 2D shadows.) The inner cube is further away in 4D space. We can't see 4D because it might not exist in our 3D slice of 4D space. Point left. now point ana or kata. this is impossible in 3D space. so of course you couldn't animate a REAL tesserect, just it's distorted shadow.

(view all replies)actually, 4d, because one object is projected into another, there are six direcions in the fourth demension. up, down, left, right, two unsimplified directions: asmoedeous, and defgictefero. its complicated...you might have to look it up because i dont get it completely.

(view all replies)I believe that is actually a cycling cube within a cube.The cube within turns into one of the faces, then the opposite face turns ito the cube within.
and no, it isn't a cube within a cube. just sayin'
It's a 4d cube, and technically, the cube itself doesn't need to be moving or rotating; it could just be the camera moving!
