By the way 10% interest was to make it easy for viewers to follow the calculation during the first few steps.
Nonethless, there are countries which have a 10+ rate of interest specially those where the rate of inflation is high.
Thanks friend for being the first scratcher to comment on my project and motivate me.
Yes I am developing other projects to teach money skills to kids. One game called piggybank is already ready and will be live by tomorrow.
I am rich! Now, if only I can find someone who will pay me 10% on $1000 invested! This is great, you may be one of the first to do a good financial Scratch project. I'm hoping there are more to come! This should be in some galleries; you may have to make your own (Scratch Money?).
Power of Compounding is the first animation created by me using Scratch.
I was trying to think of an interactive game to explain the concept of compounding but could not come up with an idea. Being a engineering nerd I thought of explaining the concept through an interactive graph. There is Professor Parrot who guides you at each step and explains the power of compounding.
Request your feedback and new ideas to make a game on "Power of Compounding"
This is my first attempt in Scratch and would appreciate a lot of "I Love Its" to motivate me to make other games and interactive programs.
Click on the Green Flag to start the interactive session and follow the advise of Professor Parrot as you proceed.

By the way...really nice first project!
Just as I thought; your's is the only project tagged "finance" in Scratch. Now...you need to make one that lets you buy and sell stocks!
One small complaint; the text went by a bit fast in places. Maybe it was caused by me hitting the spacebar too fast.
