thanks! did you know that I got a Daruma doll from an old cigarette vending machine? they took the old machine (from like, the 1900's) and put mini pieces of artwork in cigarette-box-sized boxes and charged 5 bucks per piece of art. it was really cool!
like this off the ground. i wanted to see if any ppl liked this kind of thing enough to want me to make more educating projects, cuz it looks like ppl go on here to see things more for enjoyment and entertainment than to learn something, even though it might be more valuable to them. like wat if they go to Japan for a vacation and have NO idea what a daruma is? ok thats not likely but still all im saying is thanks to u and poo to all who think knowledge is useless. (har har) :)
wow, ur one in a million, AnneCube. not many ppl will take the time to write a long comment, or, as i have said before, aren't very interested in Japanese culture. as for the thing about thinking that ur wish wouldn't come true, you'd be surprised at how many odd coincidences are out in the world. anyway, if the things didn't work most of the time, people in Japan wouldn't still use Darumas, would they? :) Oh, and thanks for the comments. that was just the comment i needed to get more projects
Sorry , that was a long comment, (oh no, this one might be too.) I think that it is sad that " not many ppl seem to be interested in japanese culture..." I think it is cool to learn about what they do, because it is different than what we (or I) do
Oh, I did enjoy it. They are very ugly dolls though, (no fence) I don't think that my wish would come true, and they would look kind of funny sitting in my room with only one eye. But hey, that's just me. I thought it was cool though, I never knew what these thongs were, nor had I heard of them. (Heck , I am talking a lot, must mean I am bored.) I think you should make ore of them it was pretty interesting to lear something random and unexpected. I think I would enjoy smashing the though, as I smash a lit of things. ;)
