Wow, really amazing. I don't quite understand the types of keys, if you don't mind could you give me a quick explination? I play piano, and percussion, and I'm a bit curious about the differences between them. The circle of flats= <3 (lol :) )
The 8-sided polygon, inside a circle with 12 points is a great way to visualize scales and modes. It resembles the graphic for the Cycle of Fifths, but they're different. That WOULD be the way to add Key Signatures. Great Work! A tool I'll call on often...
I like it when projects invite people to to explore but I grant that too obscure an interface can be a barrier. So I added help screens activated by the tiny question mark buttons.
Wow lots of people commented on my project all of a sudden. Thanks everyone. The violin button works now and I made a few other changes that people suggested. I'm still trying to figure out how to do key signatures. Stay tuned.
I love the sticking sliders! I will surely steal them (use them with credit;=>)You may wish to make the triangle border in the middle of the play button black (or darker gray.) Now it looks like it is disabled. I tried clicking several other places first.
Beautiful. Perfect look. Just the details:
You've got on bug - switching from notes view to guitar view does not hide the former.
Maybe the title should be in another font: I've got a little feeling of discrepancy between modern-looking font of the rest and fairly-old looking font used for the title.
At first glance I thought play button is grayed-out (inactive) - it hasn't any colour in it, all other buttons do.
At the second glance - sound seems to be lagging after appearance of the notes.
This is really great! I play the piano so I understood most of it. Still, it might be nice if there are kind of instructions explaining some of the concepts. Again, great job!
Hmmm. For some reason the sound is delayed by about four seconds after the animation starts. It didn't do this last night. Perhaps this is caused by a heavier load on the Scratch server this morning.
My violin teacher showed me this diagram as a way to help me visualize the relationship between the keys and modes of music theory. I thought it would be cool to animate it using Scratch. To use it just slide the sliders and press play.
For this project I developed a snapping slider that other Scratchers may want to borrow. I've also added some interface design niceties: buttons change their appearance when clicked; clickable sprites have a consistent look; and important parts of the stage stand out.
I still need to add the key signatures. And in future versions I hope to add diagrams that show the fingering for piano, violin, and guitar. The sheep button will have songs.
Much thanks to Joseph Prusch, my violin teacher, and master Scratcher Jasper, my Scratch mentor.

A great animation, which helps us visualize the complex theoretical concepts of music.

Meant fifths lol don't know what I was thinking... >:| stupid self.
That is so awesome! I love music theory!
Hey. This is cool. Clean design and great interactive response. Check my "sound" project out if you like - it's kind of a mixer.
i uesd 2 play the violin
What's the sheep for?
Selected by Forest!
Wow! Love it! Amazing. Great job.
Super !

My violin teacher tried to explain this. I think he thought I was 30 0r something.
Awesome! Very polished!
that the best I play french horn
I've been playing the piano for nine years, (im eleven, now) and my teacher taught me something similar. IT IS VERY HELPFULL

Very Nice work. Looking for the future versions.
Facinating. I play the viola. You might want to suggest putting key signatures in.
cool
Cool! I heard of what keys the modes are, but I forgot...
kinda funny that i've never heard of most of this, i'm in my school jazz band as a trumpet player. still, cool!
very cool!
Nicely done, i use to play violin but i was horrible so i moved on

(view all replies)REALLY!?! I PLAY THE PIANO TOO!
(view all replies)Very nice! I play the violin too! I don't get the piano one though.
This is really cool. I play piano, so I know what you mean. =]
awesome. I have been taking piano for 6 years, but I haven't learned about the modes that you have. Are the modes only for violin?
things like this even if it's boring (it's not) deserve to be featured.
Beautiful interface, even if I am completely clueless about music theory :)
really nice. I wonder if you could also have a bass clef thing, because I play trombone
featured great project i dont get the instruments to the right(they dont change the sound?)
Wow!

=O that's all my mouth could do for about 2 minutes! Brilliant!!! Absolutely brilliant! Kudos best music based project out there!
Amazing! this must be one of the best music-related projects, and one of the nicest UI-designs I have ever seen in Scratch. Kudos!
what are kudos? XD
(view all replies)Nice One M8
cool! but what is the sheep for??
It says in the project notes that it was going to have songs to play...I guess that feature hasn't been added yet.
(view all replies)Great job, I especially like the sliders.
Best detailed game on scratch evaaaa!
Awesome idea! Well done!
The circle of fifth's XD
thanks chalmarrow for suggesting this project! it's awesome
This is awesome. How long have you been playing violin?
Incredible. I didn't know such things could be made with Scratch. Well done!
realy usefull! very good!
Lclarkberg is my dad, and I helped him. :)

Love those snapping sliders!
Really nice job on the interface!
cool
Thanks to Digimath I was able to fix a bug that prevented this project from playing online.
can you say me how you make projects that dont work online to work?
