Immense and haunting beauty makes this game eery but elegant. It has been portraied stunningly, the music adds to the mood. Could possibly be the best game I have ever seen on scratch. It is truly beautiful.
Whoever detracts from this game does not understand its beauty. In the loud and whimsical world that is Scratch, this shines out by being dreary. The music conveys a sense of hopelessness and hopefulness at the same time; the drawings are exquisite; and though you do rise slowly, this makes it harder to avoid the Raven, giving you the chilling sense of terror as the poem does as you watch the speaker descend into insanity. Haunting and beautiful simultaneously- 5/5
breathtaking mix of music and graphics. The game play may not reflect the poem as well as it could. The slow poetic suspense may build from the slow movement, but its unrewarding to play. Maybe you could instead consider having the raven not always be attacking, but show up unexpectedly, sometimes watching, sometimes attacking.
the music just repeats and reapeats and..................................................................................................... You get the idea, what is sad about it?
this is a really beautiful game. great detail, not like some scratch games that seem to have been made in five minutes, this one is really nice. GREAT inspiration source, too. very original.
HE MOVES SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOOOW.
Download "The Raven"(35 sprites and 161 scripts) and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
This game is based on the classic poem "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. It uses illustrations from the book by Ryan Price.
You control Edgar's soul as he attempts to escape from the house. Use the LEFT and RIGHT arrows to move him, and collect artifacts to make him rise faster. But watch out - if the Raven touches Edgar, his soul shall be lifted nevermore.
Special thanks to Jesse Bertolas for her help with the graphic design.

Hard, simple, based on litrature and wonderfully constructed as a game. Edgar Allen Poe would be proud.
