Great project! I've built a project tying the pitch of the instrument to the movement of its sprite along the X axis. Here's the link if you'd like to hear it: (link to project)
Pretty Cool And Realistic (For A Scratch Project) To An Actual Piano. I Played Part Of The Indiana Jones Theme, Part Of The SSBB Intro, And Part Of Gourmet Race (A Kirby Song).
I took a photograph of a real piano keyboard, then resized it using Photoshop Elements to make the key spacing be what I wanted. I had to do a little bit of fiddling to make one octave just right, then I made copies of that octave.
This is pretty cool, I played "The Kraken" and "Davy Jones" from Pirates of the Caribbean on it. I made my own virtual piano only it has less keys because i mapped them to the computer's keyboard... i wish they would let you map to like the : key and the " key, that way it would be possible to make a bigger keyboard and map the keys to the computer's keyboard.
This really is cool. I played (with my mouse lol) Silent Night and Happy Birthday on this virtual keyboard. And the concerto I'm working on. Yes I'm a piano freak and I'm proud of it!
That was great, especiallly because I took the notes my music teacher taught me for the recorder for Merrily (Mary had a Little Lamb), and taught myself to put them on my keyboard, and then assume the spot on here!
This is an older, simpler version of the polyphonic_piano

Download this project!
Download the one sprite and 3 scripts of "electric_piano" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
This is a minimal 3-octave electric piano, using
just one sprite and 3 scripts.
It can easily be customized and incorporated into
larger projects.
I took the photos of the keyboard myself, so they
are copyright-free.
