the use of 'i reieve' is for example: 'reapeat until i recieve___' see? at first i didn't get why people wanted it so badly and then i found a spot where it would have been very usefull.
Change pause all for () secs and resume all to 2 blocks -> (Pause all) and (Resume all) cuz wat if sumwon wants to take a shower and pause is like an hour, then he would have to wait XP
if i recieve is the same as making a variable so that isn't really any use. what i really liked was the show variable hide variable option and the pause sound continue sound. that would be useful.
thats what i thought. the only reason i put it up there is because a lot people seem to think it is a good idea. just this morning i found a reason to use it. the scipt said: "when flag clicked: repeat until (_____) change color effect by 10." the (_____) should have been an "i recieve" block. ;)
Cool, I wish they had those too! But then I have about 60 projects on the scratch version i have now, and last time I instaled a new version it took all of my games off and I had to search everything! I was crying cause those projects took forever!
A variable display needs layer button. For example send variable display to front. It gets a bit annoying if you have to keep sending stuff back a layer just to get the variable display to show. ~Dan01
"when ( ) showing activate ( )"
"when ( ) activated do ( )"
are 2 that go toghter and
"when flag clicked activate ( )"
also
" when sprite ( ) clicked, activate ( )"
and those r mine
well, you could just make your own, improved versin of scratch. being a recognized scratcher, i'm sure everyone will see your new project explaining it and giving a link to where you put it........ but you know, it's just an idea. Squeak!

What would "broadcast [ ] to [ ]" do? Also, <i recieve __> wouldn't be possible because it's not boolean.

These are some good ideas for new bricks. I especially like the sound ones and the ones that would fit in an "if" block. Let's hope they get added!

I was going to say "when i recieve___", but you already have that, so I will say... Pause all and Resume all.

you can use a screen capture program, or you can right click on top of a sprite and give it a new costume that is the block you highlighted.

I think there should also be Send to back, move variable____back_layers and a diamond block saying "when I recieve"
(view all replies)Comment Reply
I agree. There should be those things
(view all replies)Comment Reply

They should make a sensing block for reciving brodcasts, so you could do: "Wait until<recived blablabla>" and things like that
(view all replies)Comment Reply
I wish that we could actually use the blocks we make in the source code though. If only.....
