The turtle on the wall reminds me of that Escher print with the never-ending stairway with people walking around and around. Maybe you could animate that, too! I like this a lot as it captures a place and a time with special meaning. Nice drawing too.
Nice job. It would be cool to also see you make a program with an 'active' shadow. For example, you can move the turtle with arrow keys, and the turtle and shadow move simultaneously.

Years ago as I visited the Waldviertel in Lower Austria, I discovered this well. It is the European watershed. All the rivers on the one side run to the Black Sea, the rivers on the other side to the North Sea.
