BTW, I'd like to thank you for this project, because it helped inspire the Z-ordering solution I came up with for my 3D sprite demo. Are you going to make a full desktop-type system out of this?
If you have a mac, there are several similar programs. One turns your dock into a giant filing-cabinet-like floor, while another groups folders into linked circles of icons. If you have a never mac with CPU to burn, google "3D OS" or something like that and you'll find them.
i figured out layering, see my project. By the way, make your own scroller is nearly done. I just finished adding in a bunch of points, and soon i will work on the main player sprite
The sorting/layer problem mentioned below is a major one, and I'm not sure if anyone has really figured it out yet. But this project would be a good one to start with.
Here's an idea to help the z sorting problem. On each costume, set the "rotation center" to the bottom of the graphic. This makes them all sit on the ground. Right now they're on the tops, hanging below the ground. ...and I think some graphics are taller than others.
Hey, you're ahead of me on the 3d stuff! You even made z sorting. I avoided that problem altogether on my stress test. Though my tests haven't turned out this good. I'll have to figure out how you did that. If you don't mind.
Guys, I never though this was good enough to be featured...the layering delays are due to some rotation point problems-when I fixed it on my old computer it slowed down exponentially...I'll get to work on it!
Very nicely done :D. I wonder if it could be combined with something like the "Building Blocks" gravity project to make a semi-3d building block stacker...

Maybe, I'd like to try and integrate it with the Scratch Window System I made.

It will make the objects too big though without some adjusting though. I ran into that problem too. I hope that helps.

It's a bit messed up... From what I'm thinking is shouldn't the sprites get bigger MORE Slowly than a closer object to the screen?
