Hey fullmoon. :) I'm not sure if you still use Scratch very much... but somebody was recently having some trouble with Connecting to Scratch via ActionScript. He actually posted on the talk page of the wiki article on the subject - see here (link to wiki) You were the one who added the article to the wiki, so I figured I would ask you. :) I tried to help him the best I can, redirecting him to the AT forum. Can you help?
I replied...I think he was attempting to load the beta Flash player .swf into his Flash file. Congratulations on your new moderatorship, by the way! :D
Also if you do plan to respond on the wiki, you can use colons to indent (useful for making replies easy to identify), and four tildes (~~~~) to sign with your Scratch username and timestamp. :)
Hi,
I've a question about your Actionscript 3.0 class. The regular expressions don't seem to work. A broadcast is detected good but variables not. Don't see this trace: 'Scratch changed variable '
See the topic: (link to forums)
Thanks in advance.
Kasper
Hey fm! Still interested in tracking down Flash player errors? If you get some time, maybe you can isolate this one...it doesn't seem to want to play when you click on the play button (link to project)
It works in the experimental viewer, too! But I can't dissect the sprite any further, and the Flash debugger isn't throwing any errors at me. Let me know if something similar pops up.
(link to project)
The problem seems to be limited to the "play" button, see my comment on the project. I have no idea why this is but I'm tempted to regard it as a fluke. It seems to have nothing to do with sound synthesis.
It appears that the account has been disabled by the Scratch team. Please contact them directly via the link at the bottom of the page, and they'll sort it out for ya.
Hey, I need your help. My friend, ShadowandSonic, found this guy who called him by his real name (which I think is against the Code) and ShadowandSonic and I know this guy. Like, actually KNOW him. Is there something we can do about this guy? Thanks for your help.
I left him a comment suggesting that he resolve this with you. We don't take down projects for being copies...if we did, the Scratch team could free up gigabytes of server space instantly :D Please let me know if he contacts you!
As far as I know nothing in the Terms Of Use forbids use of real names, but if it makes you uncomfortable, just flag any offending comments and they'll be reviewed. If you know him in real life, just ask him to stop; if he refuses, you can always add him to your Ignore List!
I am asking you this question because you are a community moderator. There is this screeched called CatReese and they are very new to scratch but don't care about anybody else firstly they stole two of my projects and pit them as his and didn't alter anything and I told him to please stop doing it but mow he has just copied two more of my projects and I was wondering what I should do next and whether you as a moderator could talk to him and he might listen to you more!
Hi, sorry to hear about this! I'm glad you brought this up, but what you probably want to do is contact the Scratch team directly about this problem at help@scratch.mit.edu. Most likely the user will be sent a notification asking them to stop. If you don't hear back from the Scratch team, let me know and I will try to intervene myself. At the same time, please keep in mind that Scratch was designed to accomodate remixing/reuploading, and imitation is the highest form of flattery! :)
I don't have any power over the TBG forum, but check the thread you opened in Advanced Topics. Demosthenes copied the BBCode for your topics so you can just paste them into the TBG forums!
Hey, TornFusion. I'm really sorry if I didn't make this clear when I closed your topic, but it was because it's a Text-based game and thus belongs in the TBGs forum!
I'm in geometry, and I'm OK with constructions. I hate proofs with transversals, because they are very easy and just waste time. I like proofs with transversals and other stuff though, because they are creative. And my textbook is epic fail.
This one's for you, Mr. Nyberg! Our geometry class is doing pen-and-paper constructions at the moment. I'm not very good at this, plus I have a sprained thumb, so I thought I'd do my part for the environment and reduce the amount of paper I waste on constructions with this virtual straightedge and compass! Instructions included in the project.
Due to the small stage size, this is really best when you run it in presentation mode.

I was not sure whether or not to report this. The problem was solved but I was worried I would get in trouble if I did. (link to forums)
You would never get in trouble for reporting something, but why do you think this needed to be reported?
(view all replies)can you remove this project to make it look like it was really flagged? You don't have to if you have something better to do :) (link to project)
You could ask one of the admins, but I don't know if they would flag a project because its owner asked them to.
(view all replies)Moderators can't directly remove projects, sorry about that! :)

(view all replies)Thank you for helping me with the action script
No problem, anytime!
WOW This is amazing and much easier than paper constructions. great job!

(view all replies)I'll give it a whack! I'd be willing to bet it's a sound synth issue...
(view all replies)By the way, I've got a gallery where I'm trying to collect bug isolation projects (link to gallery)
will you make me an icon?
If you have something reaaally specific in mind, I will do my best.
(view all replies)Hi again! Sorry to bother you, but I accidentally deleted my account, EpsilonTheHedgehog & I can't remake it. Can you help me?

(view all replies)Well that's just beyond strange! Did you sign out for me?
(view all replies)No, I don't have an iPad!

He doesn't just copy my projects and has copied many other people's projects.
where is your country?
Ah, yes...that, my friend, is a secret.
(view all replies)>.> I should probably change that back!
(view all replies)I'm from the good ol' US of A. Why do you ask?
(view all replies)Good, but I couldn't adjust the length of my compass
This is really good! And it's cool that you used this for school. :P That sorta rhymed...
It DID rhyme!
I have that same brand compass in the picture!
Sorry for spamming, but why did you close my CPRPG? I cant update it now. Heres the link (link to forums) Please let me update it again!
Sorry, I was confused about the CPRPG post, did you join? Sorry for spamming.

(view all replies)Nice project, it shows an interesting point!
Nice! Epic project! My real compass doesn't work anymore by the way.
I stabbed myself in the hand with mine once while digging around in my backpack, so I threw it out the window in anger. Haven't needed it since ;)
I'm actually going to use this. Thanks for the great tool! (Especially since my real compass broke :D)
Awww. That didn't work at all.

I came at the art.
I can't do a lot of constructing, but thats just me. I can tell that this is a great project.
Woah, I just love all of the work that was obviously put into this. How long did it take to make?
wowesh!
This is cool! I also made a Geometry project a while back, (link to project) but I never thought to include a compass! Good job!
Awesome!!! The graphics are great, the design is great, the different modes are great, it's excellent! Definite love-it and favorite.
TOTALLY AWESOME
