I won! How did you do the distance thing?
Pixel is the smallest part addressable of the screen and varies according the program and the computer. The Scratch screen has width=480 and height=360.
(view all replies)Let me rephrase: We have about 29.000Km of Earth in 480 pixel of Scratch, then, each pixel has 60Km of Earth. Knowing how many pixels are between the right place and the mouse, we can multiply it by 60 to calculate the distance in Km.
(view all replies)If you downloaded the project, you could see the explanation in a comment in the sprite “Dist”: 360º on Earth are 40.000Km. We have about 260º(29.000Km) in the 480 pixels of the screen. So, I compute the distance between the mouse and the right point, applying a conversion. But we could reach the point travelling by the other side of the Earth and this isn’t included in the calculations.

Hi, Blackdog. There were 7 ancients wonders since the Antiguity, but some of them existed no more. So, in 2007 were voted 7 new wonders of the world: the ones in this project; and now is running a election of 7 NATURAL wonders in the world where the Cliffs of Moher are included.

I’m sorry but I didn’t find the glitch you reported. There are two buttons “Text” and “Instr” that are working properly and there is another button at the bottom of the front page that works well, too. What button isn’t working as you noticed? Can you be more specific? Thank you. I’ll appreciate any help to improve my projects.
I’d appreciate if you could tell me something about the glithes in order I can find and correct them.

Nice! But unfortunately, you can sorta tell places that are clickable (from the lack of shading), but it still requires a good geographical knowledge (or random guesswork)
