There are a lot of things that seem mysterious until we know them; and they have no connection with smartness. ffred has the initial of may fisrt name plus four initial letters of my second name; and I’ve only two names. In this project you must drag the words to the grid in order they match the horizontal and vertical words. Space toggle the dragging word from horizontal to vertical. The meaning of the Portuguese words doesn´t matter. They could have only figures.
This seems to be a recreation of word puzzles i have seen in a sort of paperback format.
Just a suggestion.. the words were grouped under title relating to how many letters they contained..
which was helpful..
Have you done a number form of the same type of puzzle.. and have you tried a simple
crossword type of puzzle where words are arranged hexagonally.. and can go anticlockwise
or clockwise.. and then there is the maze type of one which radiates from a centre.
Please Forest, I’m not offended, by all means. Sorry if I cannot explain my self quit well, because the English isn’t my native language. I think the arrangement I’ve done with the words is the same you suggest. Notice that, beginning at the left top until the bottom and, then, beginning at the bottom right to the top, the words are grouped by its length with no blank lines neither titles between the groups. News: I’ve downloaded your “Sounds” but I have no time until now to open it.
I like to solve cross words very much and I know a lot of variants, but I don’t know the hexagonaly one. On the other hand, I have never been able to build a cross words puzzle by my self. Actualy, this puzzle was copied from a magazine, as I wrote in the notes.

(view all replies)Good job, ffred!
Thanks
I needed 20 minutes to solve it. In Austria we call it "Kreuzworträtsel". I like it a lot.
The good part of it, is that we don’t need to know the language to complete the puzzle.
Cool!
