This is an updated version of Mac OS 9 I wrote that works in Scratch. I have tried my hardest to make this game as realistic as possible, but it isn't PERFECT. You can open programs and click the apple in the corner, but you can't do anything in the programs. This is a good way to trick someone into thinking you can run Mac OS 9 on your computer. Have fun pretending to run Mac OS 9!

too long to load, you should edit it and re-upload it. Also make more programs acessible. :)
doesnt work well, nice looks but no effence. i made a better WORKING not LOOKING bu WORKING os system and im having truble uploading it...

Actually, this project is 2 years and 3 months old. It was the first Scratch "operating system", which started the wave of others.

They didn't have Safari back then.... Mac OS 9 came with Internet Explorer... look it up.

Well, it has been out for 1 year and 12 months, and it was the first scratch operating system released, if I remember correctly.
How did you get so many views off something so simplistic?
OS 9...those were the days..now instead of Sherlock it's just a simple command F. Luckily for you, nobody said waffles in the tags.

Nice Project! I went over to my friends house, downloaded it, put it in full screen and my friend thought he had Macintosh on his computer!(he got mad because he has windows and he HATES mac) but, after all his confusion, i showed him what it ACTUALLY WAS.(this is a good thing because it means theres a 70% chance some one will think its real! and that means your project is very realistic!)

(view all replies)Okay... IN the past, I've remixed it for dumb reasons, and have complaely tried to change it. :D Now, I'm going to try to remix it and make a new and improved version! P.S. I like it a lot, and tried to make Mac Os X, but I got tired of it, and posted an unfinished version :D
MAC OS X is a multiple version bundle. X stands for 10 since X is the Roman numeral

So do I. I like it better then OS 9, excpet for the fact that hardly any Cd games can work OS X, thats why my family has 2 computers: one with OS X for using the internt, the other, OS 9 for computer games.

Well, this project wasn't really based of whether or not I liked PCs or Macs better. i just chose a random OS and made a project in Scratch. Personally, I am currently mad at my PC because I installed Windows XP Sp3 (No, it was not a beta, it's the official release) and when I restarted my PC, I couldn't boot and had to go into safe mode and use System Restore. That really bugged me.
