by any chance, do you have the clairinet? if so, which instrument...???
Also, I was wondering if you considered doing this with real music notes on a staff. i think thank would be very interesting and I would enjoy using it
The clarinet is instrument number 72. I found that out by looking at the "set instrument" block, and opening up its menu that shows instruments and their numbers. Putting the music notes on a staff sounds like an interesting challenge- you are welcome to download this project and remix it if you want!
i made a really good melody: it was on speed 100 and instrument 83 and it went: d3 u3 d1 d3 d2 d3 d1 d2 d1 d2 d1 d3 d2 d1 u3 u2 u3 d1 d2 d3 d3 d2 u3 d3 repeat
I really like your creativity in this project. I actually made a project called "pattern maker" that was inspired by this project. If you want to, you can add this project to my "sensing and broadcasting" gallery. I just got it started.
A very unusual idea. What you end up creating is something like a 'pitch path'. Anyone interested in the idea of actually DRAWING the music you create should search for Sawcutter1 on the Cutter Music website. This is free and lets you draw pitch paths. But if you want something simpler, this little program is excellent. Well done. I like the fact that the loop starts where it leaves off - so the path climbs or falls.
Quick start: Press keys 1-6 a few times, then click "run," and watch and listen!
Instructions: Create a sequence of up and down note movements, using keys 1-6. Use space for rests. Up and down arrows let you move the cursor to edit. Run button starts your pattern running in a loop. You can edit your pattern while it runs. Use the clear buttons to clear your program or drawing. Use the speed slider to make it run fast (useful for filling in visual patterns) or slow. Try different instruments, too.
