BRICK-FU !!!
check it out, my first ever break out style game. try to play through all 7 levels.
I have several improvements in mind for the sequel BRICK-FU 2.
1. bug fixes
2. better ball / brick collisions
3. enemies
4. powerups
5. more, all new levels
6. music
7. sound effects
I will begin development on BRICK-FU 2 if and when this project reaches a certain level of popularity. Lets say 500 views or 50 love-it, which ever comes first.

Known Bugs List:
- sometimes the ball will bounce off a brick without destroying it.
- sometimes a level will end without destroying all the bricks.
- unexpected results happen when brick is hit from the side.

Yeah, i beat it on my first try, no balls lost. Score of 39,000 (Didn't get to kill the last 2 bricks on level 7)

you have to use the arrow keys to move the paddle left and right.

Love the bricks, and the paddle moves smooth. The blinking ball kinda makes my eyes go buggy though.

Hey 12bpawn, I don't mind if you don't like the game. It really doesn't hurt my feelings at all. But next time you want to leave a comment such as "no its totally sucky", consider leaving just something constructive. Such as a reason why you thing the game is "totally sucky". Good luck on getting your first scratch project online. I'll be checking you out as soon as you figure how to make anything.
the movement is a bit jerky. pretty cool though

i love that game!!!!!!!!! i went up to level 3 and i scored 5900! but that is not a bad start because this is the first time i am playing it. my sister has it on her phone. i enjoy that game!!! :) :) :)

all you really need is to make the movement a little smoother and add music and it would rock. :)
I wasn't aware anyone else was working on a breakout like game, the idea just hit me yesterday and worked on it until it was in the current state. ( at least 6 hours of work beginning to end.) Masterock, it cool to hear we are on the same wavelength in coming up with mechanics though. feel free to check out my project and take any ideas back to the game you have been developing.
what really stunned me overal is the fact that you had the same idea determening which direction the ball is heading according to the paddle.
I have been making a pong game using similar coding, but hey, yours came out first and yours is really good!
Thanks for the compliments guys!!! I really wanted to make a cool breakout style game. I know a lot of people have tried to do it, but I think I have found the right tech to get it done right. I want lots of people to know about this project so please tell your friends and help me promote the game. Remember, if the game hits a certain threshold of popularity, I will make BRICK-FU 2 with a whole bunch of new features (check the Project Notes for details).
