I considered using a "dummy sprite" as well when I tried to design my own physics simulations, but I chose not to. My thing has failed, but I'm working on it.
i made a tank version with more weapons and a turret that follows the mouse, but i got fed up half way thru and erased it and now im working on a multiplayer racing game
Ahh. That is a really neat way to get sin/cos. Once upon I time I knew some linear algebra concepts, so maybe I should relearn some things. Any tips as to what you meant?
Yeah, I was going to look at yours, I also have Scratcheroids which uses a sin/cos sprite as well. Thanks a lot. I know how to do this in C++, just starting with Scratch and lovin' it too much lol.

Nice demo of splitting velocity into X and Y components. Adding "Screen Wrapping" like the original would be a nice touch...

Same problem here. I am a full time programmer using Delphi but this scratch thing gets the creativity flowing.
