when p is 0, if p had previously been positive, then it makes the parabola go in the right direction, but if p had previously been negative, it makes p go in the left direction.
not neccesarily helping me understand better why it will always happen, like simplifying some equation or something, but really cool simulation, must have been pretty hard to program. I love putting my new knowledge into a scratch simulation project thing when I learn new things.
