Oops, I probably should have searched for spiderweb Scratch projects before saying that . . . although I still think the idea is unique (but obviously not just my idea). I guess great minds think alike. :)
An important way, yes, but not, I'm afraid, unique. I beat you to it with my own Web-Spinning spider animation (though it is animation only, not interactive like yours - I like yours very much!)
Download "Spider"(12 sprites and 32 scripts) and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
The first spider will show you how to spin a web.
The second spider can be controlled using the arrow keys. Use the second spider to spin a web (modeled after the first spider or as randomly as you would prefer) and try to trap all of the flies.
The flies will move randomly and will randomly be trapped by the web, but it is best to have as much of the web covering the screen as possible to increase their chances of getting caught. Once a fly is caught in the web (it stops moving), you will need to move the spider so that it is touching the trapped fly to eat it before the fly escapes.
This was just a fun project I made where I wanted to use the pen tool in a unique yet important way.
