Use of SCRATCH as interactive stimulus materials to teach speech/language skills to younger children
Children can choose characters, clothing, background, etc., make sentences about pictures, tell story, identify/change positions/size (to teach concepts, e.g., prepositions, -er/-est).
The Scratch page presented here is designed to work on initial sound identification.
Using letter keys--- identify initial sound of character by pressing the correct letter key which results in movement of the respective character (e.g., W=witch, G=ghost, F=fairy)
Character says word if correct initial letter key is pressed (e.g., N=nice, B=boo, H=hello)
Ghost is shy (Hides) when the witch says, "Hello." You can get him to Come back.
Reset characters by pressing green flag.
