On a windows, just drag the blocks and hit the "prtscrn" button (it might say "print screen") in the row of "f" keys while dragging (which will copy it onto your clipboard). On a mac, drag, keep dragging and press apple+shift+four then drag the rectangle over where you want to capture the image (this will save the image to your desktop)
If you don't understand what something means, let me know. The TextEdit window, the Scratch mini-window, and the list pictures are all part of the import list thing. The rest is pretty self-explanitory.

I don't get what this does.
It shows people the hidden features introduced in Scratch 1.3. It's a little out-of-date, now that 1.4 is out...
(view all replies)dude... how'd ya figure that out?
The forums, other people, and dedicated exploration
(view all replies)awesome!
Man, I wish I would have known about list export/import before I made one of my projects.
do you remember ms.AL
Who wouldn't?
pudding
huh?
So, you can put a variable into a broadcast block, but not in a "when I receive" block? Weird.
how do you get a pic of the mouse puting in a script?

YOU HAVE A MAC™ COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a mac?
(view all replies)I do
(view all replies)I don't get it...
It's just explaining what certain things do that aren't usually doable
lol
??????
Yawn!
whats the silverish thing with blue dots?
It's a textedit window. You just open up a notepad/textedit window and save as plain text. Then, you can import a list!
(view all replies)What silverish thing?
(view all replies)cool! I get the Bleh thing now!
brodcast bleh? wat dos that do?
but there's when I recieve 1, so if bleh is set to 1 and broadcasted, the when I recieve "1" will react
broadcasts what bleh is set to, in this case 1 or true or false.
(view all replies)cool! sorry for spamming I have LOADSA 1.3 projects like (link to project)
It dosen't show txt files for me, just new project thing.
good for users or people new to scratch 1.3 i'd say. but you missed out the comment bit.
Well, it says that in the release notes, so it's not really a "secret"
you have a mac?
Hi CoolStuff, I didn't notice there are four ScratchMags, so the site will take a while!
About how long is this going to take (I'm not trying to be rude or impatient)
Okay, that's fine by me.
There is also another cheat put scratch on a different language put a say block on and drag it there like usual and set the language back to english
that is cool
Excellent Scratch 1.3 digest!
Awesome! It's like Scratch 1.3 in 5 seconds!
Nice! You can also SAY an entire list at once! Or dump it into a variable.
I love that feature! It confused me when I first saw it but it's a godsend.
That's pretty spiffy!
These are some handy tests, thanks.
