Well, YGO was kind of popular in my school a couple of years ago, some of my friends were really into it; I'm not into it as much as I was years ago, but I still sometimes like watching the show or reading the manga for nostalgia. :D But, yeah, back then, YGO plushies were being sold or auctioned off at ridiculous prices. I'd rather save my money than spend it on a plush XD
Hmm? The song "Don't Bring Me Down" is by ELO. I've never heard of the Beatles ever performing this song. (Or are you thinking of the Beatles song "Don't Let Me Down"?)
Isn't it YGO5Ds now in Japan? (I've also heard about some upcoming Japanese movie involving all three Yu-Gi-Oh series put together with some enemy called Paradox). We actually do re-runs here in the US, it's that popular amongst the fans. ^^;
Thnaks, jacool, glad you liked my animation projects. As for the fan club thread, I left a suggestion for someone to create a plushie thread (since everyone in the thread seemed to be commenting on that lately). :D
Well, if you look at nikki's original project and compare it to mine, you will see that I used part of her original code and the music of that project.
Well, some of the credit goes to nikkiperson2 because some of coding for the animation is based on her original project ^^, but, thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed watching "Plushie Pal"! :)
Thank you, marshine, glad you enjoyed the project. Oh... about your Digimon vs. Pokemon response below... I'll have to give you credit for that (*bows*) because the Digimon anime did start after Pokemon anime was released. I was thinking of the time the first Digimon-related item was released in 1991 (later released again in 1997), which came before Pokemon's first franchise release in 1995-1996. My mistake. :P
Yeah, when I double checked the date, I realized I'm kind of wrong on the Poke'mon/Digimon issue. You can see my explanation in my reply to marshine's above. When it comes down to the card games and anime series, you're right, Poke'mon does come first before Digimon. My mistake. :P
Well, to each his/her own opinion, I don't expect everyone to like the Yu-Gi-Oh show. And in a sense, you do have some validity to your argument. But I've always thought Poke'mon was a rip-off of Digimon, seeing as Digimon was one of the first people-control-monsters show with a card game related to it and Poke'mon came after Digimon was created.
This is excellent! Remixing something and then changing it plenty! I really like the story: someone doesn't have the money to buy a plushie, so they make their own! It's a good story. You say that this was based on a true story... did this happen in real life?
Thank you. When I first saw remixes of nikkiperson2's project, I wanted to also do a remix but add my own spin to it; I though remixing the project to tell a story that happened to me would be a nice touch :)

Project Notes
Plushie Pal: a short Scratch animation produced by cheddargirl
Girl meets plushie, girl wants plushie, girl sees pricetag of plushie but doesn't have the cash to buy plushie. What happens next? You'll just have to watch the entire animation to find out.
----------
A short animation by me, based on a true story. My last project before I go back to academic work. :P
Stick around after the credits for a quote and a picture of the real plush this story is based upon.

I'm not into Yu-Gi-Oh! itself, but I like Yu-Gi-Oh! the abridged series. It's innapropriate, but hilarious. -Sykiria
I love YGOTAS, too. LittleKuriboh is my internet idol XD
(view all replies)Your really into yu-gi-oh XD (or that's just a random thing you took up), either way a yu-gi-oh plushie is obviously expensive XD

Well, if you look at nikki's original project and compare it to mine, you will see that I used part of her original code and the music of that project.

I've never really liked Yu Gi Oh, seeing as it's a total Poke'mon rip-off.

It did, to me. :) Seeing nikkiperson2's project reminded me of my plushie, and I thought it would be a nice tale to tell :)
Wow...great attention to detail! Soundtrack and graphics - very, very good! I love your solution to the problem as well :)

Thank you. When I first saw remixes of nikkiperson2's project, I wanted to also do a remix but add my own spin to it; I though remixing the project to tell a story that happened to me would be a nice touch :)
