Thanks, glad to hear that you like the animation! I have a few more Kazama Shunsuke music clips around, so I plan on making more singing animations in the future. :)
Hey cheddar, I went and redrew that ponified scratch cat as a vector, because why not? :P If you want, I could upload it to deviantart or something like that. Figured I'd ask though, since you drew it originally.
Actually, the original image came from a lineart I found on Chicken Smoothie, I just colored it in and made it as Scratchified as possible, so dA might not be the best place for it since dA's community focuses more on original work than remixes. You could just attach the SVG file to an e-mail sent to help@scratch.mit.edu, which I think would be better. :)
Um..nice project. I don't know if you remember me I made a forum called chit chat bal blah blah. And u posted comment on it saying not to do that. I am sorry its just I was new and that was my first ever post. It kind of made me upset since I am only 10 sorry to bother.
Moderators and Scratch Team members can close down forum threads if necessary. Scratchers and New Scratchers can't close down threads by themselves, but if they hit the Report button on the bottom right-hand coprner of the thread, they can request for the thread to be closed and it will be closed by the first Scratch Team member or moderator who sees that report. :)
Well, some helpful forum advice (not just for Scratch, but on other forums as well): usually each forum section has a small description about it's purpose; if a topic doesn't fit anywhere, then it might not be a good idea to post. Just follow the forum posting criteria (and don't go overboard with the number of threads you make in a day!) and you should be okay. :)
It depends on the project. If you're using large sound files but only need a snippet of the sound, you could use a sound editor to remove the unneeded sounds. If it's possible to split the project into two projects, you could try that as well. From what I've seen before, some Scratchers have the project uploaded to a file site like MediaFire, and then upload a preview project to Scratch that has a link to the MediaFire download.
Dear cheddargirl and other Scratch admins, I do not know if this is a april fools prank or what, but I want to give you reasons why Scratch should not be made Neigh. I say Nay To Neigh, so please read this! (link to project)
I'm predominantly Roman Catholic, but my reason for not celebrating St. Patrick's Day actually has to do more with my Filipino heritage. Cultural differences can play a role in how people celebrate their religion, so even users who share the same faith might have very diffferent religious observances. So St. Patrick's Day isn't considered to be a major religious holiday for me, much like The Feast of Santo Niño isn't a major religious holiday observed by most American Catholics.
I dunno, I guess the idea of using blocks for programming was a novel idea of it's time that it got featured in a lot of publications, increasing its exposure. Maybe someone on the ST with more involvement with the initial developement of Scratch might be better able to explain the rise in Scratch's popularity among the programming world. ^^
Cheddar, I need you to merge two forum topics of mine. I posted the same post twice, but it seems to have skipped the moderators' attention. Please visit this forum to see what I mean. (link to forums)
I moved it. Next time, however, don't use project comments to report something that need a moderator's attention since it can be overlooked if a moderator isn't online for a long period of time - use the report function on the forums instead.
Well, she's not quite perfect, there's something about the placement of the eyes that needs some work. ^^; But I'm glad to hear that you like the graphics. You can probably be a good artist, too, if you practice; that's how I get to the point where I am today. :)
So guess what? I reposted "A puzzle" to the TBG forums, and the first reply I got was "This is not a text-based game... reporting to be closed." This is your fault.
Well, Community Moderators have to be at least 13 years of age and I started off as a Community Moderator befoe becoming a Scratch Team member. I suppose in that respect you have to be older than 13, but considering that most Scratch Team members are MIT students I think being a student of MIT happens to hold more precedence. ;)
It isn't much age as it is commitment dedication with working on Scratch. Some Scratch Team members like Paddle2See and I became Scratch Team members after helping out moderate the website for being helpful on the site for a long amount of time, other members are students at MIT. :)
I got a message saying you replied to my comment on the project I reported, but when I go to see it, I get a 404 and it says "Thanks for helping us monitor the website". But I will allow remixes, it's just that since it's only in early versions, I'd like to just keep remixing off until I release the full version. Also, another reason is I'm using part of the scripting for a project I'm entering in the scratch competitions, and I just wanted to release those as demos.
Huh, that's weird. Well, just trying to sum up my earlier message, when you upload a project to the site, it's open to remixes. If you're very uncomfortable with people remixing the demos, then maybe it might be a good idea to hold off releasing the game until it's complete.
For clarification, the Things I'm Reading and Playing forum is for talking about media that we enjoy such as games, books, TV, sports, etc. Your topic was so vague that it could have gone in a multitude of directions; Lightnin said it best - "if it's worth having a discussion, it's worth writing a decent first post", and that means clearly stating what the topic should be all about.
is that song sorta linked to the song on soap bubbles? and is stuffing actually real? like you know the way thats a cartoon version of you, is that a cartoon version of stuffing? i could ask you soooooooooo many questions but, you probably don't have enough time to answer them all. :)
Well, the songs are sung by the same person. The stuffing is based on a real stuffed doll I have at home; I just like to imagine what it would be like if he could really talk back and interact with me.
The thing is that the "PH" sound resembles the "F" sound, so a lot of time you'll see words where "PH" is replaced by "F"; other times, they'll associate the "PH" sound with the "P" sound so there are also cases where "PH" is replaced with "P". Most variants of that spelling is either "Filipino" or "Pilipino", very rarely have I seen it spelled as "Philipino".
Cheddargirl, can you check out my newest project? (link to project) It's description is updated with the most recent news about SOPA :D You should really see it, It also mentions you.
I saw it. It might be a good idea to add http://www.actaactionnow.org/acta.html to the description about ACTA for anyone who want to read more about it.
fantastic animation! and you also do what most scratchers don't: make examples of japanese sentences. such as: "anata wa kakkoii desu yo." (you're really cool). "anata" being you. "wa" particle marking out the topic of a conversation. "kakkoii" being cool. (but in some cases being handsome/amazing.) "desu" as in the verb: to be. and "yo" putting emphasis in the statement. :) but there are many translations. nice project btw. :D
Thanks. :) When I first started out using the Kazama Shunsuke sound clips, I realized that not many people would understand what is being said, so giving a little info on the lyrics helps them to follow along. :)
Hey, Cheddar. As you know, I'm leaving Scratch to go do other things. I want to thank you for being such an important part of Scratch. I must say, you inspired me the most, out of all the Scratchers. You set a very good example of what an honest, helpful and kind Scratcher looks like. Thanks :P
[Sorry this message is kind of late!] Setting an example is one of the best ways to inspire a community. ;) Whatever you future ambitions may be, good luck; I bet if you keep working hard at them, you'll succeed. :)
Haha I think I've seen enough of your stuff to know what to expect. "Hm... well that was a strange way for Cheddar to end one of her- Oh, she got hit in the face with a snowball, that's more like it."
Some user have special symbols to indicate who they are on the website. An asterisk (*) indicates that the person is part of the Scratch Team. You might also encounter users that have a circle next - that symbol means they're a community moderator. :)
It;s closed now. Next time, though, just hit the report button and leave a message asking for the topic to be closed. It's usually quicker since the message goes to all mods and you don't have to wait for certain mods to get your message (which can take longe,r especially of they're on vacation or something :P)
Yuki ga futte kita - Falling Snow ========== ***Note: I was rather lax/loose with the translations here, going for a translation that was more easier or simpler to read and understand. (For example "Yuki ga futte kita" is more directly translated as "The snow is falling", but I've translated it as "Falling Snow", and some lengthy phrases are translated shortwise, such as "boku no kokoro" not translated as "heart of mine" but as "my heart"). Just be wary and do not assume my translation as a direct one.
Happy holidays everyone! More "Plushie Pal" animations from me, with more lip-synching experiments, all wrapped in a holiday/winter special. :P
Took me a few days to pull this one of, luckily I was able to make use of and remix the original Shabondama project to make this (saves a lot of time!)
For those who don't know who Kazama Shunsuke is, or are new to my "Plushe Pal" animation projects, you might want to see the remix history and look up the notes on the original core project "Shabondama", it explains all. :) ==========
Art/graphics: - cheddargirl - snow effect taken from Ratty1967UK (link to project)
Music/Sounds (used with regards to Fair Use clause under 17 U.S.C. § 107): - "Yuki ga futte kita" from 3Tops Christmas Medley (Johnny's Entertainment) - Winter Wonderland sound clips from xmasfun.com ==========
P.S. I have one more Kazama Shunsuke solo soundclip in my forever growing arsenal of sound clips. Needless to say, expect at least one more animation from me where the plushie sings again. :D

Um, okay I guess. Any Scratch-related thing you need help with?
(view all replies)Hello. :)
(view all replies)I love all your projects with little Yugi (Right?) singing!
Thanks, glad to hear that you like the animation! I have a few more Kazama Shunsuke music clips around, so I plan on making more singing animations in the future. :)
Hey, just wanted to let you know you signature link is broken: it begins with hhttp (two h's). :)
Aw, poo, I hate it when I make a typo. XP Thanks for telling me, I fixed it, the link should work now.
hey, you're online! cool :D
Eh, I'm online at different times of the day. ;P

Wow! Cool! Merry Christmas!

(view all replies)You missed my gobo pony on the forums. http://i.imgur.com/G4VQh.png
Actually, I saw that (along with some others), I passed those along to the ST about them. :P
(view all replies)I'm trying to post a project with a lot of memory. I compressed the project as much as I could, but it is still too big. Any suggestions?

Yes it does, there's a link to a Wikipedia page explaining April Fools.
(view all replies)Geez, too many people have been buying into the thing to much... read the blog, it is an April Fools joke. :/
(view all replies)(link to gallery) Want to add your kirby and/or battle me?
Oh, dear, I don't really have a Kirby character. :/
(view all replies)Heh, been a while since I've seen this. I'm surprised you don't have a saint Patrick's day signature, I was kinda looking forward to it! =D
I'm predominantly Roman Catholic, but my reason for not celebrating St. Patrick's Day actually has to do more with my Filipino heritage. Wow. You are truely amazing. I love your character girl thing. She is so detailed and perfect. I wish I was that good of an artist.
Well, she's not quite perfect, there's something about the placement of the eyes that needs some work. ^^; But I'm glad to hear that you like the graphics. You can probably be a good artist, too, if you practice; that's how I get to the point where I am today. :)

Sometimes the TBG mods are not up-to-date with what's a TBG game or not. I'll re-open the thread and talk it over with the TBG mods.
(view all replies)I was just wondering. What age do you have to be to become a member of the ST?
Well, Community Moderators have to be at least 13 years of age and I started off as a Community Moderator befoe becoming a Scratch Team member. Sorry about that. (I'd never seen Lightnin's quote before, either.)
#ya[r]ac !!!! [ yet another [[ridiculous]] animation by cheddargirl ] .... Anyways .. happy new year [epicly belated]
I'm doing okay. School's going fine, I'm actually graduating this spring if I'm lucky.

It's actually pretty late here. It's almost 1 am where I am. I really should be sleeping. :P
(view all replies)I featured you as a temporary placeholder in SkyWire VIP :)

Some user have special symbols to indicate who they are on the website. An asterisk (*) indicates that the person is part of the Scratch Team. You might also encounter users that have a circle next - that symbol means they're a community moderator. :)
personally, i think shoop da woop would have made i more fitting ending.
Eh, I'm trying to stay away from themes and ideas that reappear on the internet often. I prefer doing something a little different from the rest. ;)
