Well, I´ve just finished to watch your 36 projects and I am astonished with your imagination along with the quality, the complexity and the beauty of your projects. You are an inspiration for the whole scratcher's comunity.
Wow. I'm learning guitar, I play piano, and I must say that to me, this is probably the most practical project ever. The snowflake designer incredulated my friend (Name Withheld), and I. The wheel designer blew me away. I must say: All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
All hail chalkmarrow!!!!!!
Man, you just broke me up with your request for more levels on my Sprite Bug project! Here, I was all eager to see what that genius Chalkmarrow had to say about this bug that has driven me nuts. And you ask for more levels. LOL! The only better comment would have been "Nice project, take a look at mine! (link to yet-another-shoot-kill-maim game)"
I just got a mechanical metronome for one of my nieces for christmas. It explicitly had to be 'mechanical' by order of the stern little old lady teaching her piano, because electrical appliances and 'serious' music in her opinion exclude each other...
Thanks for the kind comments, Jens. Though I played trombone for many years in pit orchestras, pep band, marching band, etc., I never used or even owned a metronome. I think they're annoying and non-helpful when you're trying to practice, as you suggest. The "train" feature is something I just saw on a $10 digital metronome I got for one of my kids.
I love it! this is sooo funny, the cat *sweats* when you set the tempo to prestissimo, and the train button is a genuine invention! Viola, hmm... I'm more of a violinist (but I actually despise metronomes for mercilessly exposing the passages I didn't practice enough, therefore I prefer 'artistic' tempo changes, lol). Did you know that the metronome was subject to a patent law suit between Winkler and Mälzel (and of Mälzel having been a colorful inventor of mechanical 'artificial intelligence' in the form of a human chess player hiding below a chess board tabel)? well, I guess you are. Great project, I was thinking of doing something like this myself but yours is much more resourceful, sporting the train feature and the 'lively' cat!
Oh, man! The stuff with the eyes on the cat had me laughing out loud! Too funny! Also, very useful. Maybe you could add in a guitar tuner too...make it the Swiss Army knife of musical mini-apps!
Download "Metronome"(5 sprites and 11 scripts) and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Have to practice your viola tonight? Turn your computer into a very expensive metronome! Change the tempo, beat sounds, and volume with the sliders, or press the "Train" button three times to train a tempo.

I didn't even notice the Train button at first, that's a great feature too. You make such nicely crafted projects!

I like the way the cat looks and how it changes based on tempo.
