For the Design Studio "Bizarro World" gallery.
In this world, fireflies move around in little tornadoes as a defense mechanism to confuse bats, whose acoustic sensors interpret the formation as a giant deadly cone-fern. The fireflies also leave fluorescent trails in the air in response to nearby crickets, thereby lighting the way for nocturnal predators that feed on crickets.
Move jar around to catch fireflies. Dump jar on ground to release them.
As with the real world, this project works smoother when downloaded.

hat there are no tornadoes or bats it wont even put one in my jar!!!! GRRR
Does it go on and on to simulate reality?
See my project, only BETA, and for some reason, you cant climb up ladders, on site or downloaded :-(. But its a recreation of Pawn, so it should be good when I get full version out. - (link to project) -

As I mentioned to someone else, I have to admit that in the Midwest it was customary for guys to throw the fireflies on the ground then try to spell out our initials by grinding them into the asphalt with our Keds. This is sort of my apology to the genus...

Good job man..i is good coz of the graphic,but weak coz of the little commands and no score :)...next time make score tabel and how many of fireflays you have captured!!...but it is good!...i love it! :)

Thx. Though I used just enough that it worked more or less online. A professional Java version would have 50 fireflies...

They actually don't duplicate: There's a constant amount of fireflies :)
