My other Haiku project was a bit silly, and I really do like Haiku, so I thought I would make a more serious one. The translation is something I came up with based on other English translations, which generally do not try to shoehorn the words into 5-7-5 syllables (Japanese Haiku is not based on syllable count, but more like a "syllable length" that we don't have in English).

I love how the tip of each octopus tentacle looks like a moon.

But in a Haiku dream, if you are an octopus in a trap, you might flail your tentacles around so fast that they seem like an infinite blur!
I find many art projects that seems to be random like this, but this one caught my eye because, for some reason, I just like the eerie imagery of this; everything seems to go so well with the haiku.
Truly brings Basho into the 21st century!

Hmmm... extraordinary, only one tip, The words should be another color. When a tentical hits them you can't read. (I was so interested in the tenticals that I noticed the poem too late!) I know I spelt tentical's wrong...

The graphics and the poem are stunning. The music...distracting because it repeats so fast - maybe gone with a longer clip?
Yeah. It's a clip I took quickly from my rotating orbs project, with the intent of changing it. I'm considering keeping it, though, because it evokes a fevered dream or the like; the repetition makes you tense. I will probably just add an atemporal loop to make it more disturbing :)

Lol, I left this page about fifteen minutes ago, came back, and the tentacles had totally taken over. Random, fun, and artistic, with great bkg music.
