Another test project in response to freddie-few's question in the forum about programming a computer player for race cars. The opponent just follows a chain of waypoints that move back and forth (press 1 and 2 to turn on/off the visible waypoints). ARROW KEYS or WASD to control car. SPACE BAR to use Boost. Two laps per race. Five opponents.

The Dr Diablo car is fairly tough. You have to use the boost. Also, I really used only the stamping aspect of the string program, and didn't include any of the absurd string functions i put in the first one.

I also couldn't defeat Dr Diablo! Stupid invisible fence. A very good racing game. Nice use of your string functions too. I found the opponents very convincing!

Smoother off-line. The AI for each of the five cars you race against is different. Some are faster, and some hit the walls less often. This is determined by the "Get Ready" script in the AICar1 sprite.
