I have a background called scratch on windo on the backgrounds file of scratch called indoors so you can create other projects with scratch to model scratch.
same technuique as my Bad scratch cat. Right click on windows and select screen reigion for new sprite. Then use the whole screen of scratch for a sprite. Then you can copy from a screen region from the scratch-screen sprite to get more objects.

Also one little glitch: the cat sprite has no tab in the sprites and background file on the bottom-right of the screen.
