Actually, as the sun (or any other star) expands and reaches the red giant stage, it starts losing gravitational energy due to the fact that its outer gas layers are being violently released into space, so by the time the sun goes nova, it will have had only half of the gravity of today.
Download the 8 sprites and 31 scripts of "orbit 3d" and open it in Scratch

This is a mod on Itchy2's excellent planet & gravity sim. Called orbit
I have had to remove the crash part.
But I have added 3D and extra planets.

Gah! Earth went through the sun!!=(((
so thats why if you have your own solar system one day, don't mess with the gravity too much
oh, no the earth is gonna crash into the sun AAHHHHH!!!! *Faints*
Cool
But it also reminds me more of a black hole.
Here's an idea. The sun should get bigger if the gravity is high, and smaller if the gravity is low. Then it's slightly more realistic.

Nice solar system project, with maths used as well!
Try adding the Asteroid Belt or a few comets.
This is so fun to watch!
very good job
gr8 job, the gravity sim is amzing
This is fun. Try this: start it at 100, then go to 10 instantly wait about 3 seconds then go to 100 again. It is fun to watch.
cool
it dose not work
This is one of the very few projects I have seen that actually do something in 3D!
funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Try quickly moving the gravity up to 100 then back down to say 20. It sling shots the planets.
cool
nice additions to Itchy2's project!
