Sadly, showing the timer as transparent sprites interferes with the dot's wall detection logic and allows it to pass through walls :( bummer, it looked really cool to.
Great idea! However, the timer does kind of get in the way...maybe you should move it to the upper right hand corner...it might get in the way less that way. Actually, I have a better idea. Use sprites to show the time (there are some routines around) and use the Ghost effect to make the numbers transparent! Also, I think it would be neat if the timer stopped when you got to the end of the maze.
