The oly time I've remixed somthing is for colabarations. I think pas it on projects are just dumb.
I've never done a remix before but I do see your point because I see so many. Something like a collab( I've always wanted to do one for animation) would be an acceptable remix though?
Yeah, because then everyone put in a sufficient amount of work.
I once created a remix-and-pass-it-on project, but then the hamsters began taking up the front page with them, and I realised how little effort went in to them. I completely agree.

that's why they were made in the first place. so people could get top remixed. but now EVERYONE is doing them, so not only does it not even matter anymore, people just keep doing more and more.

I am not disowning remixing. I just feel that the "remix and pass it on" projects are clogging up the "top remixed lately" section and something, at least should be done about it.
i agree. i like the idea of chain projects but people should delete theirs when they know that it has been remixed. that way there won't be too many.
I have a gallery called "Remix projects" or something.... my "scroll it and pass it on" was never really big... only a couple remixes. but it had a purpose: to generate media to eventually create a game.

(view all replies)Finally, people don't have to listen to this. People make projects they think the Scratch community will like, or participate in. If the Scratch community likes remixing other's projects, so be it.
I was never telling anyone that they have to agree. I am stating my opinion. On the second page I even say it was a good idea, I am just saying that it is getting annoying. Obviously, if you are taking my opinions this seriously, you are missing the point.
And please remove the rude part about me in the description, Scratch is not about being a jerk.

For the record, I didn't start Light-a-candle, so there's no need to be rude. Everyone has their own opinion. I support remixing, and you don't. Again, everyone has the right to think about any ideas that they want to.
I never said you started Light-a-candle, I was pointing out that you were a part of it, which clearly says something about your opinion.
