You can't really help the jerkiness. It uses a set of pre-rendered images to do the 3D, you see. I could use more images, I suppose; but it would still be a bit jerky.
They work for me (: I do have some problems with variables in the Flash player, though. And to the X rot/Z rot thing — it doesn't actually matter how you define your axes (:

Not too long :) probably an afternoon or so. Now I have the script, the images are really quick to make; given any 3D model in Blender, I can just run the script and the computer generates all the images in a few minutes (:
Do you mean which version? Personally, I'm still using 2.4, I think - I haven't tried the new version yet, because they made a lot of changes. But if you're just starting, use the latest one.

Brilliant! Many thanks. (:
How do I put Blender pictures into Scratch?
Just drag the picture files into the Scratch window, and they appear as costumes (:
(view all replies)I'm gonna do something cool with blender too!
wow 3 years on scratch! i only know 2 people who have done that
who's Susanne?
Alice is a kind of 3D Scratch, right? I tried it, but didn't like it very much. :/ Thanks, though! (:
Susanne is the name of the monkey 3D model provided with Blender. (:
(view all replies)you're one of the longest lasting scratchers I've ever seen :P keep going!!
Woah. You're right. :D I've been on for 2 years and 9 months. :DD
Wow, thanks! (: I shall try... :P
that monkey is on blender
Yes, indeed! It's one of the default models provided with Blender. (:
im not sayin i could do this, but the monkey looks choppy.

(view all replies)Do you mean the images look pixellated, or that the rotation is kinda jerky? Because both are true. (:
(view all replies)What do you mean by "choppy"? (:
(view all replies)the only thing i would be able 2 make is the roty part every thing else is really hard 2 make lol..
I've shared the script, so you can use it yourself to get the pictures out of Blender! :) Maybe I should make a tutorial explaining how...?
(view all replies)the y and z axis don't work, and x rot rotates on the z axis
They work for me (: I do have some problems with variables in the Flash player, though. And to the X rot/Z rot thing — it doesn't actually matter how you define your axes (:

You should add a subsurf modifier.
Oooh, thank you (:
that is quite clever
Thank you! (:
so you named this monkey thing susanne?
It's one of the default models that come with Blender, and it's called Susanne in Blender. (:
AMAZING! how long did it take to make?
Python is a proper programming language! But yes -- you can use it to automate simple things, like any programming language. (:

(view all replies)Nice.
haw many costumes do you use???
It uses 100 costumes - 10 positions for both the X and Y axes, and 10 * 10 = 100. Hmm, I really should've mentioned that...
WOW!!!
what type of blender would you use ona Latitude E6400 Dell Laptop?-------cool 3d image :)
Then I can't help you, I'm afraid :( Try asking on the Blender forums, or something.
(view all replies)Don't know, I'm afraid; but try 32-bit. That _should_ always work.
