Sheesh! this beandude sure knows how to stir up an online argument
p.s. there is no proof jesus was a cosmic jewish zombie who was his own father and knew a bunch of magic tricks, and also I do practice a spiritualism often spat upon by cristian bible thumpers, but i am proud of my faith
Evolution is quite literally a fact. An observed, recorded, documented scientific fact. The continous development of creatures due to the impact of their environment has been observed many, many times both in the field and in the laboratory. The part of evolution that is "only a theory" is the process by which it happens, but observations of evolution actually happening are in accordance with predictions made by the Theory, and the theory has so far resisted any attempt to disprove it. Even if the theory regarding the process were proved incorrect, it would not stop the fact it happens from being an observed FACT, it would only mean that our understanding of how it happens was erroneous. I repeat: Evolution = fact. Process by which it takes place = theory.
the young children were probably between 12 and 30, young men. They were not just poking fun at him, they're words were meant as a curse. Please go to http://www.discoverymagazine.com/articles/d1999/d9911e.htm
Question: If a large gang of children poke fun at one of gods important followers, what is an appropriate response? (a) Turn the other cheek or (b) Get bears to maul them.?
I see no reason to argue against Christianity, as the vast majority of Christians willingly accept that the Bible, being a work of man, is fallible and not to be taken literally. The difficulty lies with those who will use blind faith in this imperfect document to blinker themselves against scientific evidence. This is nothing more than a deliberate attempt to supress human progress. The Bible has been written, re-written, translated and edited many times over the centuries, and even before the authors of the dead sea scrolls put ink to parchment, the stories based on oral histories that may have changed many times in the telling. Can you accept that the bible has been in fallible human hands for centuries, and can therefore be considered fallible?

So, the correct response to somebody trying to curse you is to set bears on them, even iff they are only 12 or 13?

I am a Christian, and I believe that if the scientific fact of evolution challanges your faith in God, your faith is feeble to begin with!

no, it is not fallible
