there are alot of glitches like you can jump and get your head stuck in the platofrm. Soon my demo will be out for super scratch match three. And i'm not a better programmer then you but I fixed that glitch on mine. You should try it :D Of course i can't really get the hang of programming computer characters yet.

For a punching animation, just have a streak flash in front of your character. You should also paint the cats different colors.

very good try to work on more stages and a stage selection! try my dirt biking madness game it has a decent CPU (link to project) it has some glitches but I'm still working on it
