Hey Archmage... would you do me a favor? I would like to know how to make a scroller using the mouse. You click where you want to go and you go there. Or maybe where you hold the mouse down to direct your character? Is it possible to do that so that if you are more to the left but still slightly slanted up, you will move a little up, but mostly left? Please respond. Thanks!

a engine test you will find in may projects. Mortal Kombat - Scratch Fighter with scrolling background and 2 players
When right arrow key pressed change scroll by 5, when left arrow key pressed change scroll by -5, (terrain script) When flag clicked set x to scroll + 480*0 and so on.
(link to project) archmage, can you please help me wit dis it is a scroller wit alot of glitches like, you have to move right so you can scroll, then you have to go to the top to scroll down.

This is a very good scroller. It might be the best I've ever downloaded and TRIED to use. (I'm not very good at this game-making stuff. I apreciate people who put projects out to help people.)
I guess I might use this.
I get it but why did you make a variable scroll X? It dosen't make sence.
Becuase it controls where the terrian scrolls on the x axis, thus, I call it scrollX

How do you get the attack frames on Charas creator like you have, all I got were the walking ones.
in your archmage adventure game the enemies dissapear like the terrain if your out of range, how did you do that?

(view all replies)im trying to get platforms for the next level but im worried that whatever i do might be a copy of what big-bang or penguinsrock is working on. i need more productivity! i know your probably as pissed as i am so i guess im just going to have to wait a bit. my point is that if they take too long im just going to do the levels myself.

hey archmage i know you've probably been asked things like this already for other companies but i was wondering if you would consider joining dg games, now please dont just turn this down straight away i urge you to think about it. its probably the best games company on the entire scratch website and it has many plans to keep expanding into other languages like flash, etc... please let me know if you are interested and please think about it, its a great environment and definately worth it!!!!

About half of my projects have made the frontpage. I don't really make too much with scratch anymore though.

I think the graphics are just fine. Also, I am more interested in original graphics than ones taken from games like yours are.
