could you make a game that explains how to do both scrolling and gravity in the same project?
Just add gravity scripts to your player sprites, try looking at the project chop shop for an example.

Good tutorial. For browser at my pc sprite 1 speed 8 and sprite 1 delay at 2 is best.

Hi Archmage, I am starting up a type of World Records, except it is for Scratch. It can be found @ www.scratchrecords.tk ! I made it with Tanner-FBI, and we were wondering would you have any records? (most times featured, user with same display picture for longest time, ect.)?
Not sure if I have any records. Its hard to tell because there are so many scratch users.

Use google to look for tutorials. Ruby is a good easy language. Also check out the program hackity hack if you wanna try ruby. Greenfoot is also good, it's more flexible and powerful than scratch and it uses java.

(view all replies)I noticed on your blog how you made a turtorial on how to make a Super Mario World game, and I have an idea for another couple turtorials. There could be 3 parts to this, but a Super Smash Bros. game turtorial. Part 1 could be how to make the character move and do attacks, Part 2 could be how to make a good AI, and Part 3 could be how to make the Camera zoom, though Part 3 should only be optional.
Next tutorial is for an RPG. Maybe I'll do an ssb game in the future.
(view all replies)why do you allow the sprite1 delay variable to reach 0? either sprite1 vanishes or the whole thing goes haywire when sprite1 delay is 0
I allow it to go to those values just to experiment. Obviously, you won't put it to 0 if you are using it.
