I just felt like doing this.
All I did was add the battle engine. The rest was done by sonic pops.
Even though the game seems fairly basic the code in the battle engine is fairly complex. I just didn't put in the effort to make the presentation nicer.

For the basics needed for an RPG, this is great! no real suggestions, but maybe make the character move a little quicker.
Well this is a remix of sonicpops project so I wanted to make it somewhat like the original. I just put in the RPG engine :)

Great project! Good job using complex scripts. A suggestion, have more levels and make it harder. I'm making a game called Storm Chasers!. So far the title screen is going well with all the special sound effects all going at its specific time. The title is going great and its done. I even included a digital drawing of a tornado and the National Weather Service truck, D.O.W. , Doppler Radar on Wheels.

archmage, I noticed a link in the forums leading to a mouse-copier page made by u. U challenged that nobody in scratch can make that. while it is true, I had actually attempted to make that, even though it is not currently possible to make it exact. My feeble attempt at an array works, but it is much smaller than regular motion, and it has no velocity :) (link to project) it can record 5 different types of data, but close to 500 can be stored without lag.
No it would be possible by making colour arrays but just very very difficult. I know you can`t really make a perfect version, but you can get kinda close.

Say, why doesn't say that it was based on Sonicpops project? (I mean under the project) Did you copy the code?
It was faster to import the sprites from sonicpop's project into my RPG engine than it was to put the code from the RPG engine into sonicpops project.

Dude, this isn't basic, well at least the battle engine isn't. I would be very impressed if you could interpret the code in the battle engine I used (link to project) This is getting into REAL programming, scrolling is a joke compared to RPG programming.
