Sigh, the purpose of this project was to make it super basic and easy to understand. If you want more advanced features look at my side scrolling engine. However you will have to be pretty good with scratch to use it. (link to project)">(link to project)
@ vanslar, No it can't do slopes so you can't really make a proper platforming game. If you need details on more advanced platforming elements make a forum post and ask me. Creating a proper moving player sprite involves doing 'hit tests' at diffrent places relative the player sprite position. In scratch I think you would have to do these hit tests using colours on the player sprite or using many seperate sprites.
I know I made it for people who are new to scratch and don't understand acceleration and I tried to make it as simple as possible. If you want a better demonstration of gravity go to import a sprite go to the examples directory then go to things and find gravity ball. But this engine does work, me and my little brother made Gobo's rescue mission using this engine.

I think I might use this gravity script code in some of my projects.
Could you make a gallery based on projects with gravity acceleration, and then invite people to it to try it out?
