y its a vowel why where i live isnt a vowel
where i live Y is a vowel because every word has to have a vowel and in the words "why" and "cry" the only vowel is Y. Its also a consanant because it only makes one sound, the "yuh" sound and vowels like "A" make two sounds, "ahh" and "ay". Yes the english language is very confusing!
